As a base for calculating the translation price, we use the text in source language, except for texts written in ideographic languages, when the base is the text in Latin letters. The source language is the language from which the text is translated, and the target language is the language to which it is translated.
Translations can be written and oral. The oral ones are divided into consecutive and conference interpretation.
The price of written translation is calculated according to the number of cards. One card consists of 1450 characters with spaces, calculated by computer (according to the MS Word statistics). The total number of characters with spaces is divided with 1450, and the result represents the number of cards.
In consecutive and conference interpreting, the total time spent with the client will be charged, from the moment the interpreter arrives to the given place until interpreting job is over, regardless of how much time he/she really effectively interpreted. Every started hour of consecutive and conference interpreting will be charged as the whole hour.
NOTE: If you ordered the services of an interpreter and in the meantime the job is cancelled for any reason, you are bound to pay us a cancellation fee, because our interpreters have probably rejected other offered jobs in order to be at your disposal. The stated obligation of paying cancellation fee regards the situations in which you cancelled the interpreting within 7 working days prior to the interpreting session.
Often the translation itself from one language into another does not satisfy most of the clients. Therefore, translating is usually just the beginning, because after that the text needs to be checked, in order not to lose its sense, proofread and edited – if the text is long, and sometimes even its style has to be polished. Certain additional services may be charged based on the time spent for doing them, deadline, complexity of text, etc. Every translation is double checked, in order to be sure that everything is in its place, and sometimes it even requires the check of quantity, in order to be, even in its appearance, as close to the original text as possible.
